Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 13 September 2026
eLearn Egypt is an educational platform that connects Students and Teachers and provides online educational services. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, shared, and otherwise handled when you use the platform.
1. Introduction
This Policy applies to information handled through eLearn Egypt’s public website, accounts, Courses, educational tools, payment and wallet workflows, and support services. It does not state or imply any formal privacy or security certification.
2. Information We Collect
The information we may collect depends on how you use the platform and which services are available to you. It may include the following categories:
Account and profile information
Name, email address, phone number when collected, account and login information, preferred language, and profile information.
Educational information
Student or Teacher role, academic level, school system, subjects, Course enrollments, Course progress, lesson completion, assessments, answers, scores, grading status, and Teacher feedback.
Teacher information
Teacher profile, subjects, education levels, Courses, earnings and wallet-related records, and payout-related information supplied by the Teacher.
Transaction information
Course purchases, payment status, transaction references, Teacher Wallet activity, Enrollment Code purchases and redemptions, storage purchases, and payout records.
User-provided content
Support tickets, Course reviews, uploaded Course resources, support attachments, and educational content submitted by Teachers.
Technical information
IP address, browser and device information, session and security information, and logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the platform.
3. How We Use Information
We use information as needed to create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; provide Student and Teacher roles; deliver Courses and educational content; manage enrollment and access; track educational progress; administer assessments and grading; operate Live Sessions; process payments, Teacher Wallet activity, and payouts; operate Enrollment Codes; calculate and manage storage entitlements; provide customer and support services; display appropriate public Teacher, Course, and review information; prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents; maintain and improve platform reliability; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Public Information
Certain information is intentionally public where the relevant feature is used. This may include a Teacher’s public profile, displayed name, subjects and education information selected for the public profile, and published Courses. Public Course information may include the title, description, Teacher, price, rating, and educational metadata.
Public Course reviews use the platform’s privacy-aware review identity display. Private Student educational records, including individual progress, answers, and scores, are not displayed as public Course information.
5. Payments
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers integrated with the platform. Those providers may process payment information under their own privacy and security practices. eLearn Egypt keeps the transaction and business records needed to manage purchases, enrollment, Teacher earnings, and financial history. The platform does not require full card numbers or card security codes to be stored in its own Course-payment records when those details are handled by the payment provider.
6. Teacher Wallet and Financial Records
Teacher financial records may include earnings, amounts under verification, available balances, wallet top-ups, platform service purchases, payout requests, and refunds or reversals where applicable. Financial records may need to be retained for operational, accounting, security, dispute, and legal purposes even after an account becomes inactive. Requests to delete an account may therefore not result in deletion of records that must remain as part of the financial history.
7. File and Media Storage
Educational files and media, uploaded Course resources, and support attachments may be stored using external or cloud storage infrastructure used by the platform. Access controls are used to restrict protected content to authorized users. No method of storage or transmission can provide absolute security.
8. Live Sessions
Courses may contain scheduled Live Sessions. The platform may process the information needed to schedule, display, and provide access to those sessions. If a session uses a URL or service operated by an external meeting provider, that provider may handle information under its own privacy policy. eLearn Egypt does not represent that Live Sessions are recorded unless a specific Course or external service clearly states that recording occurs.
9. Assessments
Where a Course uses quizzes, exams, or other assessments, the platform may store attempts, answers, scores, grading status, and Teacher feedback. Some questions may be graded automatically, while others require Teacher review and grading.
11. Sharing of Information
We may share information only as reasonably needed to operate the service, including with integrated payment providers, hosting or cloud storage infrastructure, technical service providers, and authorities where disclosure is legally required. Information may also be shared between Teachers and Students to the limited extent needed to provide the Course relationship, instruction, assessment, feedback, support, and access.
eLearn Egypt does not sell users’ personal information.
12. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Security measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every incident will be prevented.
13. Data Retention
Retention periods depend on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it is handled. Account records, educational history, transactions, financial ledger records, support records, and security logs may be kept for different periods. Some records may be retained after account inactivity where necessary for financial integrity, disputes, fraud prevention, applicable legal obligations, or platform security.
14. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, or update your personal information, request deletion where legally and operationally permissible, or ask questions about how your information is handled. A request may be limited where records must be preserved for financial integrity, security, disputes, the rights of others, or legal obligations. Please submit requests through the platform’s official Contact or Support channel.
15. Children and Minors
The platform includes educational services that may be relevant to school-age Students. Where applicable law requires consent or authorization from a parent or legal guardian, the platform should be used only with that required consent or authorization. The platform does not claim that it independently verifies parental consent in every case. Parents and legal guardians may contact the platform through its official Contact or Support channel with privacy questions.
16. Third-Party Services
The platform may link to or integrate services operated by third parties, such as payment services, external Live Session providers, and external educational links. Their services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you should review those policies when using them.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, legal requirements, or our practices change. The current version will be published on this page with its Last Updated date, and material changes may be communicated through reasonable platform mechanisms where appropriate.
